So many amazing boots happening this Fall and Winter, guys. Probably the only good thing about 2020. Today, I’m only focusing on the trends I’m most excited about BUT there are a lot of other fun ones to be noted. See: riding boots, square toe, combat, patchwork.

I’ve vowed to stop buying boots that don’t last – even though fast fashion places like Nasty Gal and ASOS make it too easy to buy super cute + super cheap + but super FLIMSY boots that are always right on trend – because boots really should be made to last. Especially if you live in a snow state. So, I’m only listing quality boots today and want to give you a heads up that the majority of this list is $200+ with the exception of a few.

Scroll for my splurge-worthy boot picks for this season! I went ahead and broke them down into 4 trend categories for ya:

Chunky Chelsea Boots
Rain Boots + Wellingtons
Croc Effect
Western

Chunky Chelsea Boots

These are still going strong. Brands like Prada and Botega Veneta are leading the charge when it comes to the chunky Chelsea obsession. The Prada Monolith boots and the Bottega Veneta Tire boots are def the goal! I searched high and low for the perfect affordable chunky Chelsea boot in the Winter and ended up going with this Vagabond Shoemakers version of the BV tire boot and I love them. Super comfy, true to size and great quality. I also have my eye on these!

Rain Boots + Wellington’s

I love me a practical trend. Rubber boots will be all the rage this season, Midwest girls rejoice. I haven’t decided which pair I’m going with yet but I’m DROOLING over these Gia X Pernille Teisbaek knee-high combat boots (@PernilleTeisbaek is one of my favorite Instagram follows). Two of my more affordable favorites are the Twin Set logo patch rain boots and the A La Garconne rain boots.

Croc Effect

Animal prints are always in. But this year crocodile texture is going to be everywhere!

Western

Western boots are so fun and such a good way to spice up a basic outfit. I bought the Senso Quillian boots at the end of last season and then quarantine hit and I barely got to wear them. Tears. I’m very excited to bust them out this year, if I end up going anywhere ever again…
