Okay, you guys know I don’t typically cover the Nordstrom anniversary sale. In fact, I never really shopped it/cared/truly knew about it until I became a blogger a couple years ago. And have you heard?! Bloggers know EV-ER-Y-THING about the #Nsale! JK but not really. I’m not here to give you an e-book on how to shop (although I do respect the bloggers that know all the hardcore Nordstrom secrets) but I do want to share a few things I’m loving.

I’ve never cared enough nor could I really get in the mindset of buying clothes for the Fall/Winter season during July when it’s 102 degrees in Chicago. However, since I’m currently pregnant and due in mid-December, I’m much more interested in preparing for freezing season this year. I know that my post-pregnancy body will only want to wear cozy, oversized, comfy everything – and I know future, crazy, postpartum me will be grateful that I stocked up in advance.

This year, I’m rounding up my Nordstrom sale picks for sweaters, coats, shoes, ad leggings for F/W. Happy shopping!

Give me all the oversized sweaters. I ordered a bunch and once they arrive I’ll circle back and let you know which I’ll be keeping! For the most part, I liked the sweater selection this year. I’m most excited about this super baggy All Saints sweater. PS I love love All Saints and have always had great luck with the brand.

My friend told me about a dreamy cashmere cardigan she bought at this sale last year (sadly it’s not included this year) but it inspired me to get one because I don’t really own a quality cardigan. I went with this Halogen wool + cashmere cardigan in grey and it’s at a really reasonable price point. I love anything by Halogen, btw.

I loved the coat + jacket selection this year and really had to resist my temptation to spend my savings on coats. I got this puffer coat, mustard fur coat, this lightweight All Saints jacket, and this gorgeous All Saints trench (obviously/sadly not keeping all of them though, will be trying on and returning half),

I was actually pretty disappointed in the shoe selection this year. I was really hoping for some great combat boots and a pair of cute cold weather boots but the selection was pretty meh. I love these combat boots though but not sure I want to splurge on them. I did order these red Halogen booties – my favorite booties from this sale last year were Halogen and at the same price point and they held up SO well. I have a pair of red boots from Target that need replacing because I wore the CRAP out of them, if you think you won’t wear red boots, you’re wrong – they go with everything! Oh and I LOVE these Steve Madden buckle boots and am probably going to go back and buy those too.

I was pumped to stock up on some maternity clothes during the sale but there really isn’t any. So lame. I got these maternity leggings though, as well as this pair of Spanx leggings (for future + postpartum me) and these red ribbed Zella leggings. These Alo moto leggings are also on sale but I already own them – they are soo great! TIP: if you ever find Spanx or Alo  Yoga on sale, BUY! Both are the most flattering/comfortable leggings I’ve ever worn.
